Mpigi district Woman MP hon Nambooze Teddy asks central government to implement Buganda Kingdom demands ‘Ebyaffe’ as soon as possible.
MP Nambooze while addressing residents of Buwama Rural sub-county in Mpigi district which was officially opened yesterday 25th Tuesday, May 2021, said that since the 1966 Buganda crisis that led the central government lead by Dr Apollo Milton Obote to confiscate a number of Buganda property, the time has come to return the same back to the kingdom.
“As we claim president Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert a.k.a Bobi Wine’s victory which was stolen, we must find means to benefit from all government programs in our local governments,” says MP Nambooze.
“I appreciate the good work from all genuine elected leaders, and I promise to work with them,” she added.
The function which was witnessed by hundreds of residents took place at Kawumba village just a few kilometers on Buwama – Katebo road.
Buganda Land Board (BLB) Lawyer Owek. Bugaya Denis promised to help the new sub-county fight land grabbing since he has expertise in the field.
Mr Bugaya asked all Mpigi legislators to amplify Buganda’s voice to central government to return all property belonging to the mighty Kingdom.
“I appreciate Mpigi district to be among the first districts willing to implement what Buganda Kingdom agreed upon with the central government,” says Owek. Bugaya.
