NOWIP and Embassy Of France in Uganda Embark The Commemoration of Generation Equality Forum Activities.

The Network of Women in Politics (NOWIP) and the Embassy of France in Uganda in partnership with UN women have launched a series of activities in commemoration of the upcoming virtual Generation Equality Forum that will commence on the 30th June to 2nd July 2021 in Paris, France.


Nowip Press has learnt that the forum will be composed of diverse, inclusive and inter-generational events with 40 slots allocated for an open and global call for submissions for Organizations to propose their unique sessions and interventions towards promoting Gender Equality.


NOWIP supported by the Embassy of France in Uganda is in the process of developing a position paper reflecting the thoughts and views of Women in leadership towards delivering tangible impact on Gender equality, women and girls’ human rights within the period of 2021 to 2025.


The online activities have commenced today 1st June 2021 with an online survey that will be followed by a validation exercise, a presentation of findings at the French Embassy, a presentation of the paper to the Speaker of Parliament and final presentation of the position paper at the Generation Equality Forum.

The NOWIP Executive Director Ms. Babirye Lilliane speaking to Nowip Press has called upon all Uganda Women in politics to actively participate in the upcoming events that are geared towards advancing generation equality forum action coalitions.

NOWIP is a network composed of Women in Politics with a purpose of developmental politics in the country.
