10th of September was a day of joy in Kitgum as Hon Lilian Aber the woman MP for Kitgum District donated over 700 mosquito nets to pregnant mothers and children in the area.

Hon Aber said that Malaria is common during the rainy season leaving expectant mothers and children very vulnerable to get sick. She adds that this is the reason why she was tempted to donate mosquito nets to safeguard this category of people from getting ill.

“Malaria is very common during rainy session leaving Expectant mothers and Children very Vulnerable. As part of a proactive intervention from @MinofHealthUG. I have donated mosquito nets to the above category of people in kitgum District.” She tweeted

Hon Aber also promised to bring in more mosquito nets especially by the fact that the birth rates in her district are on a rise.

She however asked families to give birth to the number of children they can manage to support instead of having many whom they may fail to provide the basic needs of life they deserve.
