On the 25th of September 2021, Prime Minister Rt Hon Robbinah Nabbanja met with the Leaders of Amolatar District at the District Headquarters to find lasting solutions to problems facing people who were affected by floods of Lake Kyoga.

Nabbanja who arrived in the district aboard a chopper was assessing the magnitude of damage as well as following up on what could be done so as the situation is brought back to normal.

Nabbanja pledged government assistance to over two hundred families in the district displaced and cut off from accessing social services due to the rising water levels in Lake Kyoga and Kwania caused by the heavy rains.

She has further promised to continue supporting the elderly (women) and youths so that they can also develop themselves. The people of Amolatar showered the PM with a lot of gifts thanking her for the good service delivery.

As we report, relief food from the Prime Minister’s office has already started reaching the area with more expected to be sent in a week’s time.
